Scientific program
"With our scientific program we offer each participant a hands-on training in the application of endoscopic instruments for a broad spectrum of indications. There will be interactive teaching videos and discussion on operative techniques. We will demonstrate the organisation of the operation theatre and the role of the instrument nurse. During the course there will be practice on anesthetized rats and phantoms with full equipment of all instruments, video, laser and bipolar coagulation. There is a complete installation per two participants."

Social program
The social program embraced the city of Ghent by highlighting the best it has to offer. Nowhere els you will find so much history per square meter in a pedestrian historical city centre. A city embedded in the Middle Ages when Ghent was, next to Paris, the second largest town north of the Alps. Here pounds the young heart of a dazzling city of culture full of music, theatre, film and visual arts. It was for good reason that Ghent was recently voted third most authentic historical city worldwide.
HISTORICAL BOAT EXCURSION with Engish guide - 90 MIN
The boat trip is an enthralling historical passage through medieval Ghent, admiring its wide range of monuments: impressive castles such as the “Counts Castle” and the “Prince’s Court”, birthplace of Charles V; the old Fishmarket facing the even older Meat Hall; the more than solid 13th century Monasteries previously inhabited by Augustinians and Dominicans; the Ancient Port of Ghent along with its mercantile houses; ....
GASTRONOMIC DINER ON AN EXCLUSIVE LOCATION
After the boat trip you can join us for a gastronomic diner in the “Gravensteen”. The Gravensteen is a castle in Ghent (see picture below) that originates from the Middle Ages. The name means “castle of the counts” in Dutch.
The castle was built in 1180 by count Philip of Alsace and was modeled after the crusaders castles that Philip of
Alsace encountered while he participated in the second crusade.
The castle served as the seat of the Counts of Flanders until they abondoned it in the 14th century. The castle was then used as a courthouse and prison. Inside you can find a museum with various torture devices and a guillotine that were historically used in Ghent.
Our organisation was granted exceptionally the honour to organize the gastronomic diner on this breathtaking location.
